Mark Paulsen is a native of Idaho Falls and was a fifth generation Mormon which is why he believes God has called him to minister to the people of this area.

Mark became a Christian in 1992 when he was went on a hiking trip and camp out where as he puts it; God got a hold of him in a radical and very personal way.  Mark came home from that camping trip a new man who believed in the true Jesus of the Bible and God has not shut his mouth since.  He was baptized a week later and had read the Bible completely through in three months time.  He continues to make it a habit to read through the Bible once every year.

Mark has been married to his wife Brenda since 1981 and they have four amazing adult sons, three precious daughters-in-love and two awesome grandchildren. In 2006 Mark felt the Lord calling him to Rexburg to lead a small home group and see what the Lord had in mind.  That was the birth of Calvary Chapel Rexburg.  It is Mark and Brenda's heart to minister to the people of the Rexburg community, to share the Gospel of the Bible and the truth of who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit really are as according the what the Bible says.
